Benjamin School hosted a fly-in at Ben Grill Field, courtesy of Cedar Ridge Aviation, last Friday afternoon. Two helicopters, piloted by Russell Flanery and Shane Williams, landed on the Benjamin football field on September 21. Dustin Johnson, owner of Cedar Ridge Aviation, was also on hand to help with the event. This was the culmination of kindergarten and pre-k students studying about the letter “H”. The school, along with the entire Benjamin community, were able to learn more about helicopters and aviation operations.
Benjamin’s community is best described as a neighborhood where everyone looks after each other.
